Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism is a challenging neurological disorder affecting children and young adults at an alarming rate. Why was this disorder so rare that most doctors 30 years ago didn’t even know it existed? Why is it now effecting children at epidemic rates? No one seems to understand the why's of autism.

Dr. Robert and Dr. Lisa Abell have been treating ASD for almost 30 years, not because they choose to or even knew how to treat them, but because children were getting sick and parents needed answers.

Over 28 years for Dr. Robert Abell began treating ASD patients in California. These children challenged Dr. Abell more than he ever thought possible, but over the years more and more was discovered about the causation of ASD. Children were actually improving and some were having complete remission. One thing that we have learned about this disorder is that there are no commonalities when it comes to treating ASD. Everyone is different and everyone needs unique therapies, time and effort in order to attempt to reverse this disorder. There is no rhyme or reason why some children have complete remissions and other children improve, but still there is something missing. Our success is typically due to the work that parents are willing to put into their child’s treatment, but not always.

The most common factors that we find essential to treat are:

  1. Toxicity due to environmental factors

  2. Heavy metal toxicity

  3. Vaccine damage

  4. Genetic mutations in metabolic pathways

  5. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies

  6. Food Intolerances

  7. Microbiome imbalances - gut damage which effects brain function

Our treatments focus on determining the causation of ASD and eliminating the offending conditions. As we tell parents constantly, this is going to take time and it will be a roller coaster at times, but they will improve and hopefully reach as high a function as humanly possible.
